Oct 1, 2010 Wesley (5) just told me he doesn't want to be a "cowboy" he wants to be a "horseboy" when he grows up.
Oct 1, 2010 My 3 yr old is a a little independent stinker! He heard my girls ask to ride their bikes to school so, he snuck out, grabbed his big wheel, and headed off to school--in his pjs and no shoes! I was frantically trying to find him when Sarinah came back to get me. He was nearly 1/2 mile away by the time I got to him! He said he wanted to go to school but I have no idea what he thought he was going to do when he got there!
Sept 29, 2010 Briton (3) crawled in bed with me this morning accompanied by three of his stuffed animals. I rolled over and gave him a hug. He said "Mom, you're on my kids." I apparently had rolled over on top of one of his animals.
Sept 22, 2010 Rebekah (9) was explaining to Wesley (and me) why Curious George is not a monkey. She was saying "Monkeys have tails, apes don't have tails. So you can tell George is an ape because he doesn't have a tail."
Sept 20, 2010 Briton (3), upon hearing he had to be older before he watched a certain movie, replied "Great! I'm older!"
Sept 15, 2010 Wesley (5) was trying to explain to Briton that when we went to "pick him up" to come to our family he was a lot smaller, so small I could carry him in one arm.
Sept 4, 2010, I am so proud of Sarinah!! She got baptized and confirmed today. And what a wonderful day it was shared with lots of family.
Aug 22, 2010, I was in the hospital with another ruptured ovarian cyst. Now a fun day and night.
Aug 10, 2010, Wesley's favorite game is no longer "Sorry", and finally and we passed the Uno Attack phase. Lately he has been into Battleship and he is surprisingly very good for a "just turned 5" year old.
July 30, 2010, Briton (3) was caught standing on the bunkbed drawing on the ceiling...his defense was 6 simple words "I wasn't drawing on the walls."
July 13, 2010, My poor Wesley (5) got stung by three wasps at the same time today. A case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
July 8, 2010, Alan asked Briton (3) why he doesn't play in the sandbox anymore. His answer was "The sandbox is too sandy."
June 7, 2010, Wesley (4) woke up this morning and told me he had a dream that he flushed Briton down the toilet.
June 6, 2010, We were outside watching the lightning show and Sarinah asked if it was made by the sun trying to peak through the clouds.
May 21, 2010, The only way I could Rebekah out of bed this morning was to tell her I was going to let her sleep in and take her to school late.
May 16, 2010, Sarinah's funny quote of the day: Mom: "Clean up, the choir is coming over soon to practice." Sarinah (7): "You mean The REAL choir?" ... Mom: "The ward (church) choir, it's a real choir." Sarinah: "Oh, I thought you meant the Tabernacle Choir. It was going to be way too crowded in here."

April 15, 2010 Another great Wesley (4) quote...Mom: "Don't stand on that, you'll break it." Wesley: "Okay, Mom" ...pause... "Can I jump on it?"
March 20, 2010 My girls were just playing "school" and I told Wesley to go play with them. That's when he said "I am playing, I'm the class pet."
March 1, 2010, Today I told Wesley he had to choose a vegetable. He looked at me and very seriously asked "Is a cookie a vegetable?"
Feb 26, 2010, Wesley (4) (who loves raw carrots): "Mom, I think I'm allergic to hot carrots...'fake cough' "
Feb 12, 2010, Wesley (4) woke up this morning with a birthday wish. "Happy Birthday, Mom, you're 15 now!"
Feb 7, 2010, We were listening to a song that mentioned the 1930's and Sarinah said "Mom, I thought only Adam and Eve were alive in the 30's."
Feb 5, 2010, Wesley was "fixing" things with his child size, yet very real, hammer. He "fixed" the aquarium by smashing a hole in the front and flooding the couch and floor with all 10 gallons.
Jan 31, 2010, We were telling Sarinah (7) about going to a baby shower on Saturday and she asked "Do we have to take a shower?"
